Kylie wins prize at Brit Awards Take That scoop Brit award double

Kylie Minogue has won best international act at this year's Brit Awards at London's Earls Court. Take That were among the big winners at this year's Brit Awards ceremony in London, scooping awards for best British live act and best single.
Speaking on stage the star, who earlier performed her new single Wow, said she was "extremely grateful and thankful". Sheffield band Arctic Monkeys took home two awards which included best British group and best British album for Favourite Worst Nightmare.
US rock group the Foo Fighters have scooped two awards, best international group and best international album for Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace. US group the Foo Fighters were also double winners with best album and best international act.
US star Kanye West was named winner of the best international male prize and band Take That scooped best live act. Mark Ronson was named best British male and Kate Nash won best British female.
Producer Mark Ronson was named best British male at this year's Brit Awards - the first non-singer to have scooped the solo artist prize.
Mika, who kicked off the show with his songs Love Today and Grace Kelly, was named best British breakthrough act.
'Beautiful' mother
He also performed with Gossip singer Beth Ditto.
Rihanna followed with a performance of her former number one single Umbrella, accompanied by the Kaiser Chiefs.
Will Young presented the Critics' Choice award to Adele, a graduate of the BRIT School in Croydon, south London.
Accepting the prize, the Londoner said: "My heart's beating so fast." She also thanked her "beautiful" mother.
Meanwhile Amy Winehouse made her first public performance since entering rehab. She sang Valerie and Love is A Losing Game.
Former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney will perform a medley of hits after being honoured with an outstanding contribution award at the ceremony, which is being hosted by Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne.

Actor James Nesbitt presented the best British female award to Kate Nash.
In the best British single viewers will choose between Mika's Grace Kelly, The Hoosiers' Worried About Ray, Mark Ronson's Valerie, Take That's Shine and Bleeding Love by Leona Lewis.
Doctor Who star David Tennant, actor Sir Ian McKellen, Gossip star Beth Ditto, and Bionic Woman actress Michelle Ryan are among the guest presenters.
