A number of people have been hurt and police have declared a major incident after two buses crashed into each other in the centre of Brighton towards the end of Monday morning’s rush hour. Two men have been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after one bus crashed into the back of another in the centre of Brighton.
Firefighters went to the scene on North Street, near the Clock Tower, after the buses collided at 9.22am. Initial reports suggested there were multiple injuries, Sussex police said. Up to 10 people were treated and discharged at the scene, according to the South East Coast ambulance service.
