Mark Griffiths, the officer in charge of the incident, said: "Thanks to the swift response of the firefighters from Port Talbot, Neath and Morriston, we were able to prevent further damage to adjoining properties."

Three fire engines and an aerial ladder were in use to tackle the blaze. A joint investigation into the cause of the blaze is being carried out by the fire service and South Wales Police.
The blaze was reported as a caravan fire, but it spread to three properties. Six breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and an aerial appliance were all used to fight the fire.
