Eight secondary school pupils were in a minibus which overturned near Abergavenny on Friday. | |
The accident happened on Old Hereford Road, near Pantygelli, just before 08:00 GMT. | |
Gwent Police said no-one was seriously injured, but the driver and one pupil from Pontypool's Ysgol Gyfun Gwynllyw comprehensive were taken to Hospital as a precaution. | |
The parents were informed and the road has since been reopened. | |
The police confirmed no other vehicle was involved in the accident and the circumstances were being investigated. | |
In a statement, Monmouthshire council said: "An incident occurred... involving a minibus transporting eight students to Ysgol Gyfun Gwynllyw. None of the eight students suffered serious injury. | |
"The school contacted parents to inform them of the incident while emergency services attended to the students, who later returned home." | |
It added that an investigation into the incident would be carried out by council officials and said it was offering its support to the parents' of the pupils involved. | |
In January, three children from the same school were injured when a tree was blown onto a bus carrying pupils in Pontypool as gales battered Wales. |
