Police have confirmed the second body found at a house in Kent is that of Essex teenager Dinah McNicol, who went missing in 1991. Police have confirmed the second body found at a house in Kent is that of Essex teenager Dinah McNicol, who went missing in 1991 aged 18.
A spokeswoman said police had believed clothing and jewellery found at the house in Irvine Drive, Margate on Friday belonged to Miss McNicol. Police had believed clothing and jewellery also found at 50 Irvine Drive, Margate, were consistent with the remains being Miss McNicol's.
Testing of DNA samples confirmed the remains were that of the missing 18-year-old girl. DNA tests have now confirmed the remains are those of Dinah, and her family has been informed.
Her family have been informed, the Essex Police spokeswoman added. The body of Vicky Hamilton was found in at the house on 12 November.
Vicky, who was from Redding near Falkirk, was discovered in the back garden of the property, where Peter Tobin used to live.

She went missing in Bathgate, West Lothian, in 1991. Peter Tobin was charged with her murder and appeared at Linlithgow Sheriff Court on Thursday.
A spokeswoman for Essex Police said the examination of the inside of the house was continuing and was expected to last until the end of the week.
Excavations outside the house have finished and police said they believed it was unlikely anything more would be found inside.
Dinah failed to return home to Tillingham from a trip to Hampshire 16 years ago.
Her father, Ian McNicol visited the house in Margate on Monday.
