Family heartache at border murder IRA 'is behind our son's murder'

A priest has spoken of a family's devastation at the murder of a 21-year-old County Armagh man. The family of a south Armagh man who died after being severely beaten in County Monaghan say they believe the Provisional IRA is responsible.
The man, named locally as Paul Quinn, 21, from Cullyhanna, was found badly beaten near Castleblayney just after 1800 BST on Saturday. He died later. Paul Quinn, 21, was found at a farm house outside Castleblaney just after 1800 BST on Saturday - he died later in Drogheda hospital.
The PSNI and gardai are co-operating in the investigation which is believed to focus on the laundering of diesel. The Cullyhanna man's family say he was recently involved in an altercation with individual members of the IRA.
A short time later was told to leave the country.
They believe because their son refused to leave he was abducted and beaten to death.
A local priest has spoken of the Quinn family's devastation at the murder. "His family are in a great state of shock," said Fr Kevin Cullen.
"The community are very upset and numb at the death of a young person; one that died in such tragic circumstances, so young."

Mr Quinn was found at Tullycoora, outside Castleblaney, and the area remains cordoned off. It is thought at least three others were at the farm at Tullycoora who crossed the border back into Northern Ireland.

A post mortem examination is being carried out on Mr Quinn's body.
