A man has admitted murdering a student who was found dead in her bedroom at a university halls of residence. A man has admitted murdering a student by subjecting her to a violent attack that involved stabbing her with pens.

Miss Love was found dead at The Lawns halls in Cottingham, near Hull, in May. Gary Burrell QC, prosecuting, said Miss Love died after a "violent attack that involved stabbing the head, throat and inside the mouth with pens."

Speaking at the time of their daughter's death, Miss Love's parents David and Carol Love said: "She is deeply missed. The family are devastated by her untimely death." Det Ch Insp Tony Garton said this was the first time Webster had admitted any involvement in Miss Love's death.
He said: "He is clearly a dangerous young man who has not only taken a promising young life but he has thrown his own life away too."
Earlier Miss Love's parents David and Carol Love left the courtroom in tears.
