Violent attack
Gary Burrell QC prosecuting, told the court Webster had inflicted a prolonged attack on his victim.
"This was a sustained and extremely violent attack that involved stabbing the head, throat and inside the mouth with pens," he said.
Mr Justice Irwin QC said "an inevitable life sentence" would be passed after reports were prepared.
Webster was expected to be sentenced in November.
Speaking at the time of their daughter's death, Miss Love's parents David and Carol Love said: "She is deeply missed. The family are devastated by her untimely death."
