A Cambridgeshire police spokeswoman said: "Police and BT have been liaising concerning the provision of a telephone service for the village.
"BT have now confirmed that by tomorrow afternoon a service will be resumed. In the meantime there will be extra police patrols in the village.
"If any technical problems are experienced once the phone service resumes, residents are advised to contact BT."
