Richard Guy, who lives near the scene of the shooting, told BBC News: "I came back from the pub about twelve o'clock and, yeah, there was police here and I heard stuff was happening at that house. She obviously was there when it happened, the poor little thing Lynne Walford, neighbour
Lynne Walford, said she saw the girl, aged about seven, being taken out of the house by police.
"I felt quite guilty because I didn't know there were young children there but she looked fine," she said.

Another neighbour, Dean O'Connell, said: "You don't expect it somewhere like this, but this estate is renowned for a little bit of drugs - most of the trouble here, I imagine, is because of drugs."
