Two people are believed to be trapped following a landslide near Shaldon in Devon. Two people have been trapped on a beach following a landslide near Shaldon in Devon.
The landslide is said to have blocked Smugglers Tunnel at Ness Cove and two adults, including a pregnant woman, have been trapped on the beach. Part of a cliff at Ness Cove collapsed and blocked a pedestrian tunnel leaving the two adults, including a pregnant woman, unable to leave.
Brixham Coastguard said the alarm was raised about 11:00 GMT. A spokesman Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service told BBC News the two people, who have a dog with them, are not thought to be injured.
Teignmouth inshore lifeboat, Devon and Cornwall Police and Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service are also involved with the incident. Coastguards were alerted to the incident at about 11:00 GMT.
Fire spokesman Paul Slavin told BBC News the two people, along with a dog, are unable to leave the beach because of the landslip, but are not thought to be injured. Teignmouth inshore lifeboat and Devon and Cornwall Police are also involved with the incident.

Julie Matthews, from Shaldon Zoo, said the public car park close to the beach has been cordoned off. Alec Collyer, a Shaldon resident, said fire crews were "fairly confident" no-one else was caught under the landslip.
"They're fairly certain no-one is unaccounted for, but at this stage they can't be certain," he said.
A dog unit is now at the scene and the public car park near the beach has been cordoned off as an operations area for the emergency services, he added.
