A man and woman have been found shot dead at a house in Wiltshire. A retired police officer has been found shot dead with his girlfriend at his home in Wiltshire.
The bodies were found when police were called to a house on Moonrakers estate in Devizes just before 11:00 GMT on Saturday. The bodies of Bill Dowling and the woman, who has not been named, were found at Moonrakers estate in Devizes just before 11:00 GMT on Saturday.
Wiltshire Police confirmed the man was a retired police inspector with 30 years' service and the woman was his partner. Mr Dowling, believed to be in his late 50s, had 30 years' service with the force and retired about six years ago.
