Police have appealed for help in finding a missing Wirral man who left his home for work but never turned up. Police are trying to find a Wirral man who went missing days after finding out he was being made redundant.

He was meant to open the store but has not been in contact since, which his family and friends said was out of character. He did not turn up and has not been in contact with his family or friends since.
Police believe he may have travelled to Birkenhead by bus on Sunday. His family said he was depressed at the news Blockbusters was closing its stores, but this was out of character.

His sister, Lauren Ankers, said: "My mum is in bits, so is his wife, so am I, so is his dad.
"He has got that many friends, we just want him home."
Ch Insp Nick Gunatilleke added: "He is a very, very social person with a wide circle of friends.
"He has got keen interests in hill walking, dog walking and is a keen Liverpool fan.
"This behaviour is completely out of character."
Anyone who has seen him is being urged to contact police.
