A number of fans of Mercury Prize nominated singer Ben Howard have been told their tickets for his Plymouth Pavilions show are invalid. Singer Ben Howard has arranged an extra show at Plymouth Pavilions after 750 fans were told their tickets were invalid.

Seetickets said in an email to customers: "Due to an administration error the show was oversold" and advised people to contact its customer service number, 01159129000, for refunds.

A spokesperson for Howard said on his website: "Ben and the band are gutted to hear about this and we are looking to add another hometown show to try and make it up to you guys." 'Unfortunate error'
Apologies for 'inconvenience' Robert Maltby of the Pavilions said that Seetickets customers who had been told that their tickets were valid should go to the Plymouth Pavilions box office after it opens at 18:00 GMT to enable their tickets to be re-issued.
Seetickets was allocated less than a quarter of the 4,000 tickets. He said: "All fans that missed out by this unfortunate error will be issued full refunds and given free tickets to the new date on the 13th.
Robert Maltby of the Pavilions said overselling had never affected the Pavilions before. "See will be in touch with you very soon to explain the process moving forward".
He said: "We appreciate that people have travelled from a distance.
"The promoter, artist and the Pavilions apologise for the inconvenience but it is a matter for the agent.
"It is an error with their systems and is not down to the venue."
