Riverside festival makes a splash | |

Thousands of people have spent the weekend on the banks of the Clyde at the annual Glasgow River Festival. | |
The free event was situated in and around the SECC, Glasgow Science Centre and the Tall Ship. | |
In a finale to the festival on Sunday, thousands of plastic ducks were released into the River Clyde for the very first Glasgow duck race. | |
Glasgow's own tall ship the Glenlee was joined on the river by visiting tall ships Tenacious and Royalist. | |
There was also strong involvement from local community projects, including the Galgael Trust, the Govanites, the sea cadets, sea scouts, Scottish Amateur Rowing Association and the maritime volunteer service. | |
The festival ended with a rubber duck race from the Clyde Arc | |
The crowds were also treated to the spectacular "Zapcat" power boat racing. | |
Other events included rowing, live music and a fleet of boats on display, from yachts to Clyde puffers. | |
