Snow and hail have been blamed for three crashes involving a number of vehicles in Gloucestershire. A lorry driver died in an accident on the M5 in Gloucestershire as snow and hail were blamed for a series of crashes.

Another witness, Thomas Lydon, said: "There was a Royal Mail lorry that had jack-knifed and the cab was smashed up. There were many firefighters working on it."
