Lawnmower electrocution kills two Elderly couple found dead on lawn

Two elderly people have been found electrocuted on the lawn of a house in Cardiff. An elderly couple have been found dead in their garden in a Cardiff suburb next to an electric lawnmower still connected to the mains.
The man and the woman, both aged 87, were found dead at the property in the Cyncoed area of the city. The couple, both aged 87, were discovered in the garden of the property in the Cyncoed area.
The Welsh Ambulance Service said it was believed the man was electrocuted while mowing the lawn and the woman also died when she touched him. The Welsh Ambulance Service said the power was still switched on the lawnmower when they arrived at the property in Bettws-y-Coed Road.

The ambulance service was called to the house in one of Cardiff's most affluent suburbs at about 1100 BST. A spokeswoman for South Wales Police said: "We are investigating on behalf ofthe coroner the circumstances surrounding the death of an elderly couple atBettws-Y-Coed Road.
"The deaths are not being treated as suspicious and a post-mortem examination is being carried out shortly."
Local people said the couple had lived in the bungalow for more than 20 years and were not in the best of health.
The man was often seen out walking the dog since he retired.
They were described as a kind and helpful couple and with family believed to be in Newport and Chepstow.
