Police are treating as suspicious the death of a student whose body was found in Hull University's halls of residence at Cottingham, East Yorkshire. | |
Officers were called to The Lawns on Harland Way after the 26-year-old woman's family, who are from South Yorkshire, could not contact her. | |

Det Ch Insp Tony Garton, who is leading the inquiry, said: "A young woman has lost her life in suspicious circumstances. | |
"We are still in the very early stages of an investigation but we are doing everything we can to establish how and why this death has happened. | |
"I appeal to anyone who might have information relevant to the investigation to contact the major incident room urgently." |
