Head teacher of St Philip's Church of England Primary School, Judith Bey, described Humza as a "quiet and reserved boy who was highly respected by all his classmates".
"The whole school community has been stunned by the death of Humza", she said.
"He was a member of the school council and a keen player in our football team.
"We have many fond memories of Humza's achievements at school and he will be greatly missed by everyone.
"His classmates have already approached staff with ideas of hw to remember Humza. Our thoughts and prayers are with Humza's family at this time."
