Bomb target 'feared for family' | |

A woman whose County Tyrone home was targeted by bombers has said she feared for the safety of her family. | |
A bomb was defused outside the Sion Mills home of Mary McCrea - a former member of the District Policing Partnership in Strabane - on Monday. | |
It followed a similar incident in Primrose Park area on Sunday, which police said was linked. | |
Mrs McCrea said she feared that her family could have been hurt or killed in the incident. | |
"The only thing that was going through my head was that I was worrying about my grandchild - and I had another grandchild in my house with me," she said. | |
"It was going through my head that somebody could be so callous. | |
"But then it wasn't left there for the bomb disposal unit to come but for somebody to pick up - that was their aim." | |
The device was found in her garden at about 1915 BST on Monday and was made safe by the Army. | |
