City centre closed after incident Murder inquiry follows club death

An area of Nottingham city centre has been cordoned off following what police have described as "a major incident". A murder investigation has begun after a 27-year-old man died following an incident at a Nottingham nightclub.
Officers were called to the Lace Market area of the city at about 0200 BST but have not given any further information. Police were called to the Paris nightclub on Broadway in the Lace Market area of the city at about 0200 BST to investigate "an incident".
Several roads, including Weekday Cross, Pilcher Gate and St Mary's Gate have been cordoned off while investigations take place. Shortly afterwards, the man was found in an alleyway near the Pitcher and Piano pub with serious injuries.
He died on his way to hospital. A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out to establish the cause of death.
