A man has been seriously hurt after a late night assault on a street in Aberystwyth, Ceredigion. Police have made an arrest after a 22-year-old man was seriously hurt in an assault during the early hours on a street in Aberystwyth, Ceredigion.

Dyfed-Powys Police said they believe the incident, which happened at 0055 GMT on Sunday, involved two men in their 20s. A 22-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of assault.
They said due to the time and location numerous people could have seen it. The victim from Kington, Herefordshire, is in Morriston Hospital, Swansea, in a critical but stable condition.
