Toddler critical after sea rescue Girl, two, dies after sea rescue

A two-year-old girl is said to be in a critical condition after she fell into the sea off the Kent coast. A two-year-old girl has died after she and a baby boy fell into the sea off the Kent coast, police have confirmed.
The toddler was rescued by a member of the public just before 1500 GMT at the Warren Apron, near Folkestone, along with an eight-month-old boy. The toddler was airlifted to a London hospital in a critical condition after being rescued by members of the public.
A Kent Police spokeswoman said the girl was airlifted to a London hospital. The boy's condition is said to be stable. The Dover Coastguard was called to Warren Apron, near Folkestone, just before 1500 GMT after reports that a pushchair had tumbled into the water.

A member of Dover's volunteer lifeboat crew Jon Miell was walking his dog in the area at the time and, having heard shouts for help, rushed to the water's edge to give first aid.
He called emergency services and administered heart massage to the young girl until the air ambulance arrived to take her to hospital.
A Kent Police spokeswoman said despite efforts to save her there, she died on Sunday evening.
