A shooter at the Naval Air Station in Pensacola (US Navy base in Florida) is dead, the Escambia County Sheriff's office said. The Navy later confirmed another two people were killed. The reports of "active shooter" at the facility appeared around 7 a.m. Friday morning. The Sheriff Office told later that authorities immediately engaged with the suspect and shot him. With the Sheriff office located nearby, deputies rushed to the location in minutes to assist authorities at the base. Shots were exchanged, as the authorities described the engagement later. Deputies were the ones who neutralized the gunman. 
The Navy later confirmed that two other people were killed in the shooting. At least 11 people were injured, including responders. Sheriff David Morgan described the aftermath as "walking at a movie scene."
 The identity of the suspect as well as those killed have not been revealed. Three other people were  later announced killed in the shooting. Seven people were injured, including two deputies.
