Inspector David McFetridge, the senior investigating officer at the scene, said those who had caused the alert had no "regard for anyone". | |
"The majority of residents we have had to move for their own safety are elderly and cannot weather this type of disruption especially on such a cold night," he said. | |
"I utterly condemn the actions of those few misguided people who are not welcome in our society." |
