Six people have been arrested over the incident in London Road, Bedford, early on Sunday morning, police said. Police confirmed that the pedestrian was David Gaylor, of Moulton Avenue, where he lived with his family.

Flowers have been laid at the scene paying tribute to Mr Gaylor.
The card on one bunch said: "David, God Bless Mate, we love you so much", while another read: "Can't believe you have gone. Love you so much, you will always be with us."
Sylvia Ruffhead, 78, who lives near the scene said the noise of the crash was so loud she thought it was gunfire.
"I lay in bed and I heard this noise, I thought it was somebody shooting a gun.
"As I went to get out of bed and put my foot down on the carpet I felt the whole building vibrating from where it had hit."
