A 25-year-old man has been charged in connection with the stabbing of a school caretaker. A 25-year-old man has appeared before magistrates charged with wounding a school caretaker.
Andrew Arnold, from Red Lion Lane in Exeter, Devon, is charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. Andrew Arnold, 25, of Red Lion Lane, Exeter, Devon, has been charged with wounding and two counts of theft.
Jason Backes, 34, was stabbed in the face after helping restrain a man at King Edward VI School in Stratford-upon-Avon. He was arrested following an incident at King Edward VI School in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, on Friday, 8 December.
Mr Arnold is due before magistrates in Stratford on Monday. Mr Arnold was remanded in custody until Friday 22 December, when he will appear at Warwick Crown Court.
A 17-year-old youth arrested with the accused on a train has since been released without charge.
The 25-year-old is also charged with two counts of theft.
