The injury was inflicted as the man helped restrain a thief seen rifling through lockers on Friday at the King Edward VI School, Stratford-upon-Avon. Andrew Arnold, from Red Lion Lane in Exeter, Devon, is charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
