A teenager who was killed on a main road in Neath in a collision during the early hours of Saturday has been named. | |
Ben James Evans, from the Sandfields area of Port Talbot, was walking along the A465 when there was a collision with a Nissan Navara. | |
Police have appealed for anyone who may have seen the accident - or saw Ben who was in Neath town centre on Friday night - to come forward. | |
Officers say they do not know why Ben was on the A465 at the time. | |
South Wales Police say he was killed at about 0030 BST. | |
Inspector Carwyn Evans, of the South Wales Police Roads Policing Unit, said: "We know Ben was out in the Neath town centre area on Friday and we want to speak to anyone who was with him on this evening. | |
"At this stage we do not know why Ben was on the A465 so we need to piece together his movements on Friday night until the time of the incident." | |
