Police investigating the killings of two French students in London have made an urgent appeal for help in tracking down a man they want to interview. Detectives investigating the killings of two French students have arrested a a man following an urgent appeal for information about his whereabouts.
They say Daniel Sonnex, aged 23, is dangerous and should not be approached. Officers arrested Daniel Sonnex, 23, at an address in Peckham, south-east London, following the deaths of Gabriel Ferez and Laurent Bonomo on 29 June.
He is thought to have connections with New Cross, south-east London, where the bodies of Gabriel Ferez and Laurent Bonomo, both 23, were found. The bodies of the students, both 23, were found in a bedsit in New Cross, south-east London.
Mr Sonnex is described as white, 6ft 3ins tall, of proportionate build, with short dark hair and brown eyes. Nigel Farmer, 33, of no fixed address, has been charged with their murders.
Bedsit explosion
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: "Sonnex is considered to be a dangerous man.
"Police advise members of the public not to approach him directly but to ring 999 if you see him."
The badly-burned bodies of the biochemistry students were found after an explosion at a rented bedsit.
Mr Bonomo had been stabbed nearly 200 times while Mr Ferez had suffered nearly 50 knife wounds.
Earlier, Nigel Farmer, 33, of no fixed address, was charged with murdering the two men.
