The funerals of a man and his two children gassed to death in his car on Father's Day take place later. Family and friends have attended the funeral of a man who gassed to death his children on Father's Day.
Brian Philcox, 52, gassed his daughter Amy, aged seven, and three-year-old son Owen, in a Land Rover near Llanrwst in north Wales during an access visit. The body of Brian Philcox, 52, was taken into St Edward's RC Church in Runcorn surrounded by floral tributes.
All three, from Runcorn, Cheshire, died from carbon monoxide poisoning. The karate expert was found dead in his Land Rover next to daughter Amy, aged seven, and three-year-old son Owen, near Llanrwst in north Wales.
Brian Philcox's funeral will be held at St Edwards RC Church in Runcorn, and Amy and Owen's funeral takes place at All Saints Church in Daresbury. His children will be laid to rest in a separate service at All Saints Church, Daresbury, later on Thursday.
Mr Philcox had split from his wife of eight years, Evelyn Philcox, 18 months ago. Mr Philcox had gassed them with a hose from his exhaust pipe in the beauty spot in Snowdon after a split with their mother Evelyn Philcox, 37, 18 months earlier.

Brian Philcox was a karate expert Hymns could be heard inside the church as the private celebration of his life got under way on Thursday morning, with two men dressed in black standing guard outside the doors.
A handful of police in high-visibility jackets and an officer from Halton Borough Council remained outside the church while the service proceeded.
Mr Philcox's body was taken from the church to a nearby cemetery after the 45 minute service.
One mourner said: "It was a beautiful dignified service.

"The first reading was about sin and about us all being sinners and he who is without sin being able to cast the first stone.
"Brian's family and friends did him proud."
Mr Philcox, originally from Speke in Liverpool, had picked his children up on Friday 13 June and driven them to the Conwy Valley.

He had also left two hoax bombs at the family home in the Windmill Hill area of Runcorn, targeting his wife and her family. Friends said he was distraught about the lack of access he had to the children.
After the tragedy, Mrs Philcox said of her children: "They were more than everything to us. They were our world and the reason for living.
"We can't believe what's happened and how they were so tragically and unfairly taken away from us.
"They were our beautiful little angels and greatly missed. They'll always be in our hearts."
