A gunman has taken a teacher and an unknown number of pupils hostage in a school in western Germany. A gunman has stormed into a school in western Germany injuring a teacher and several pupils in Emsdetten.
According to reports, shots have been fired inside the school in Emsdetten and several people have been hurt. "No-one is in immediate danger," a police spokesman told the BBC, adding that the school had been evacuated and that the gunman was "alone" inside.
