A teenager has died and another has been seriously injured in a fire at a flat in Edinburgh. Two teenagers have died following a chip pan fire at a flat in Edinburgh.

After breaking down the door of the burning flat they pulled out the two 19-year-old men inside. Stephen Boyle, 19, of Westburn Middlefield, and Daniel McKenna, 18, of Broomhouse Gardens West, in Edinburgh were killed in the blaze.
One of the teenagers was confirmed dead by paramedics a short time later. The fire is thought to have started in a chip pan. After breaking down the door of the burning flat they pulled out the pair. The alarm was raised by a couple in the flat above, who were also rescued.
