He said they were awaiting the results of the post mortem examination but the initial indications were that Mr Bannan, who was a single man, had been assaulted. | |
He added they had traced members of the dead man's family and family liaison officers were in touch with them. | |
The detective appealed for anyone with information to come forward. | |
