Shots have been fired at a US Navy centre in the state of Tennessee, the military has confirmed. A police officer has been shot by a man who opened fire at a US Navy reserve centre in the city of Chattanooga, Tennessee, local officials say.
And US media are reporting that a police officer has been shot near the naval centre on Amnicola Highway in the city of Chattanooga. City Mayor Andy Berke told reporters one officer was "down". He tweeted: "Horrific incident in our community... Prayers to all those affected."
