A fisherman missing off the north Wales coast has been named by police as Brian Hughes. | |
Several RNLI lifeboats and a helicopter searched an area off Llanddulas, near Colwyn Bay, for Mr Hughes and his vessel on Wednesday and Thursday before calling off their efforts. | |
Mr Hughes, known as 'Bychan' was 66 and from Conwy. His boat was called the Susie Mo II. | |
The coastguard said his family were informed that the search had finished. | |
A worried relative raised the alarm on Wednesday at 11:30 BST, 12 hours after last making contact with him. | |
A life raft belonging to Mr Hughes's boat was found near Penmaenrhos on Wednesday, before the search continued for several hours on Thursday morning. | |
