Armed police have been sent to Aberdare as officers deal with an incident reported to involve threats being made with a firearm. Two men were arrested following reports of an aggravated burglary and a firearm being used in Aberdare.
South Wales Police said armed officers had been dispatched "as a precaution". Armed police were sent to Wellington Street at 07:00 BST before moving to John Street where the suspects had secured themselves inside a property.
No more details have been given and the incident is ongoing. Following extensive negotiations, two men were arrested and taken into custody at just before 11:00.
An air gun was recovered from the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
