Version 0 of 1.

A man has been rescued after falling on cliffs on the Dorset coast and getting stuck under a boulder.

He was able to call 999 from his position 300ft (90m) below the coast path at St Albans Head near Swanage, shortly after 19:00 BST on Friday.

Eleven coastguard, paramedic and fire personnel helped extricate him after his legs were trapped by a rock.

The man was winched aboard the Portland coastguard helicopter and flown to hospital in Dorchester.

A second coastguard helicopter winched rescuers from the cliff just as thunder, lightning and heavy rain hit the coast.

Swanage Coastguard described conditions as "horrendous" as the rescuers and their equipment were recovered.
