Eyewitness Spencer Bennett, 15, who lives nearby said: "The stray dog bit my dog on the lip. I took my dog in and when I shut the door I heard a scream." | |
He said when he came outside he saw the dog attack a little boy and then the four-year-old girl. | |
"It bit her on her cheek, her lip and her ear. Blood was coming out of everywhere. | |
"The dog wouldn't stop... even when I was kicking it, it just wouldn't stop." | |
The teenager and two other men eventually managed to pull the dog free from the girl. | |
Another eyewitness said he managed to get a collar around the dog's neck and put it in a confined area behind a fence until police showed up. |
