Man charged after Orange attack

A 24-year-old man has appeared at Lisburn Magistrates Court in connection with an attack on an Orange hall in Portadown at the weekend.

Gareth Breen from Ballyoran Park in the town was charged with attempting to set fire to Clounagh Orange hall on Friday evening.

He is also accused of trespassing onto the property and destroying two wooden boxes of an arch belonging to the lodge.

Mr Breen was remanded in custody.
