South London and Maudsley NHS Mental Health Foundation Trust (SLaM) and King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust issued a joint statement which read: "Terrance O'Keefe was admitted to King's College Hospital from Lambeth Hospital, with a potentially life threatening condition. | |
"During his time in hospital, he was escorted by mental health professionals from SLaM 24 hours a day. The circumstances surrounding this will be the subject of a rigorous joint review by both healthcare organisations." | |
O'Keefe was being held at the secure Lambeth Hospital in south-west London but he was transferred to King's College Hospital for treatment from where he fled on Thursday afternoon. | |
