Two men and a woman died when their vehicle crashed on the M20 near Swanley at about 0450 GMT. Police said no other vehicle was involved. Two men and a woman died when their Ford Focus car left the M20 just after junction two on the London-bound carriageway and careered into a field.

The London-bound lanes remain closed and diversions have been put in place while police examine the scene. Appealing for witnesses, police said no other vehicle was involved in the accident, which happened in the West Kingsdown area at 0450 GMT.
A Kent Police spokesman said: "It appears at this stage that only one vehicle was involved. Investigations are continuing and motorists are being advised to avoid the area." The London-bound lanes were closed for several hours after the crash to allow police to examine the scene.
