Results of the elections for House of Commons select committee chairmen are to be announced shortly. The chairmen of the House of Commons select committees have been announced, following a secret ballot of MPs.
Twelve of the 27 committee chairmen have already been elected unopposed. Keith Vaz remains as Home Affairs Committee chairman, Frank Field takes on Work and Pensions, while Labour MP Meg Hillier assumes the helm of the influential Public Accounts Committee.
But MPs standing for the remaining positions faced a secret ballot of colleagues on Wednesday, with the outcome to be announced on the floor of the Commons at 10:30 BST. Twelve of the 27 committee chairmen had already been elected unopposed.
