Eleven people have been killed and four more injured in a fire at a hotel in eastern China's Zhejiang province, state media has reported.

The fire broke out early on Friday at the Chengshuai hotel in Yiwu city.

Fire-fighters rescued 23 people from the blaze but 11 later died in hospital. The cause of the fire is now under investigation.

Local officials have gone to the scene of the incident to help out, Xinhua news agency said.

Two months ago, 21 people died at a fire in an entertainment and apartment complex in the same province.
