Version 0 of 1.

Work to upgrade a five-mile stretch of the A9 to dual carriageway will cost £15m less than previously estimated, Transport Scotland has said.

Infrastructure Secretary Keith Brown said a "robust procurement process" had reduced the price of widening the road between Kincraig and Dalraddy.

Wills Bros Civil Engineering and John Paul Construction have been lined up for the £35m contract.

Transport Scotland said it expected to award the contract soon.

The A9 between Perth and Inverness is to be fully dualled at a cost of £3bn by 2025.
