RB Holmes Jr, a pastor at a Tallahassee church – who introduced Bush before a 1998 campaign announcement for governor of Florida – has just given a speech that brought the crowd to its feet with its exclamatory fervor.
“Experience does matter!” Holems shouts to the crowd. “Vision is necessary! And proven leadership is important, may God bless the United States and may God bless Jeb Bush and his family!”

Cuban American singers Willy and Lissette Chirino have now joined their three daughters on the stage – they just sang the national anthem.
So the campaign lines are drawn: @marcorubio with Fleetwood Mac, @HillaryClinton with the Beatles and @JebBush with the BeeGees?
Meanwhile the former governor has tweeted out that he’s chatting with GHW Bush backstage.

The Bush campaign has launched its official Jebsite – so far a bilingual page that encourages visitors to donate and links to a video of the Miami event – but it also includes some curious scaffolding behind the scenes, the New York Times’ Jeremy Bowers has discovered.

As a trio of cantantes takes the stage to serenade Miami Dade College – if they can get good sound on the acoustic guitar – Democratic candidate for president Hillary Clinton is in New Hampshire answering questions from reporters.
She talks about her big pitch to help the middle class compared to her own vast personal wealth.
Clinton says her wealth is "secondary in the minds of people," that they don't like when people get to top and pull the "ladder up"
She talks about the controversial trade proposals that are backed by the Obama administration but have been the target of a Democratic revolt in Congress in recent weeks.
Clinton hasn't taken a position on TPA to this point, and that continues. She says it should be used as leverage for better TPP.
She talks about the shadows cast by big names.
.@hillaryclinton "I'm not running for President Obama's third term or my husband's third term. I'm running for my first term"
.@JamesPindell asks Clinton if she has any advice for Jeb wrt family name: "That’s a very tempting question to answer, but I won’t."
And she talks about the press, with whom her campaign does not always get along.
"You are reporters. You care about the facts." -- Hillary.

Guardian DC bureau chief Dan Roberts sends a shot of Miami Dade as seen from the press – the warm-up acts are in action and talking up Bush’s “very special announcement”.

The Bushes are entering the auditorium in Miami to no small welcome. Spanish-language music involving an accordion is playing.

We will take Washington – the static capital of this dynamic country – out of the business of causing problems. We will get back on the side of free enterprise and free people. Bush is ready to find out, but also faces a cast of rogues contending for the Republican nomination: a privacy-loving ophthalmologist, a Canadian-born Texan who tried to shut down the government, a former CEO, a former neurosurgeon, and Bush’s own former Florida ward. Wisconsin governor Scott Walker also appears ready to join the race, and like Bush will compete for comparatively moderate Republican voters while also having to prove his conservative bona fides to the base.Bush is ready to find out, but also faces a cast of rogues contending for the Republican nomination: a privacy-loving ophthalmologist, a Canadian-born Texan who tried to shut down the government, a former CEO, a former neurosurgeon, and Bush’s own former Florida ward.
