The person who won £93.3 million in the EuroMillions jackpot has claimed their prize in the UK.

The lucky ticket-holder’s identity has not been revealed and they may choose to remain anonymous.

Winning £93,388,943 puts the person at number six on the National Lottery rich list and they could receive their money as early as Monday, Camelot said.

They picked the winning numbers of five, eight, 10, 11 and 37 with Lucky Stars seven and nine to take the jackpot, which was the biggest win in the UK so far this year. Combinations of two numbers or more win prizes

The top prize had not been won since 26 May and four rollovers had increased the amount each week.

Two other players in the UK matched the main numbers with one star to win almost £250,000 and prizes from £2.90 upwards were handed out to 4.6 million people in several countries.

A spokesperson for EuroMillions said Britain was on a “winning streak” after having 1.3 million winners and the largest prize pool of £100.2 million this week.

More than 53.3 million tickets were bought for the draw.

A spokesperson for the National Lottery said: “We're delighted Friday's ticket-holder has come forward to claim this truly life-changing prize.” Colin and Chris Weir, from Largs in Ayrshire, with their winnings

Top of the National Lottery rich list are Colin and Chris Weir from Largs, North Ayrshire, who banked £161 million in July 2011, making them the biggest lottery winners in Europe.

A year after they struck it lucky, Adrian and Gillian Bayford won £148,656,000.

In 2010 a winner who chose to remain anonymous collected £113 million and last year Neil Trotter, a former car mechanic from south London, won £107,932,603.

Dave and Angela Dawes from Cambridgeshire won £101,203,600 in 2011, despite having only played EuroMillions twice before.
