No-one from Springfield Primary School was available for comment when approached by the BBC. In a statement, Springfield Primary School said that all child protection procedures were initiated as soon as the matter was brought to the school's attention.
They said this resulted in the immediate suspension of duties of the member of staff concerned.
They said it was their understanding that none of the allegations relate to, or concern, any pupils at the school.
