Police are due to announce the results of the post-mortem tests later. Joe's family will also make a statement. In a police statement, Joe's father Andy described him as a loveable son who was "soft at heart".
Mr Dinsdale said he remembered taking Joe to watch Hull Kingston Rovers when he was younger and that he had to sit on his shoulders to watch the game.
He added: "Joe was a loveable son who was emotional but soft at heart and was well liked in the local area."
