A rapper who posted a "threatening" music video on Facebook showing him holding a gun to a picture of his ex-partner has been jailed.

Anachi Thomas, 30, from Gloucester, pleaded guilty to stalking and breaching a restraining order.

Gloucester Crown Court heard the video also showed him acting out burying a body in the ground.

He also pleaded guilty to drugs offences and was sentenced to three years and seven months in jail.

Thomas, of Park Road, Gloucester, had been previously convicted in 2012 of assault and burglary after he attacked his ex-partner when he broke into her home.

He was jailed for 20 months and given a restraining order which prevented him from contacting her for seven years.

Wrapped-up body

The court heard the order was breached when he posted the music video on Facebook in March.

The video showed the victim's name and address, and a photograph of her with a gun barrel pressed up against it.

It also showed Thomas acting out dragging a wrapped-up body out of a car and burying it.

Janine Wood, prosecuting, said the victim "felt threatened and feared she would end up dead" after she watched it.

"She was distressed by it and had trouble sleeping, thinking about it," she said.

Defending, Joe Maloney described Thomas, who performs under the name Conda, as a "skilled and talented musician" who was "part of the music scene".

Thomas was sentenced to 40 months for the drugs offences, including supplying class A and B drugs, and three months for breaching the restraining order.
